Am I a Good Candidate for Lip Rejuvenation?

People who are unhappy with their flat or thin lips, wrinkles and fine lines on or in the surrounding areas of the mouth, and disproportionate lips are suitable candidates for lip rejuvenation. Clients with sagging lip corners are also good candidates for the procedure.

People who have underlying health conditions that may affect healing should not get lip rejuvenation. If you have an active skin infection in the area, it will be best to treat this before coming in for lip rejuvenation.

Your Lip Rejuvenation Consultation

During our consultation, we will assess your lips and discuss your aesthetic goals. We will then talk to you about our lip filler options and discuss the treatment’s benefits and cost.

You may need to stop taking any blood thinners a week before the injections, but you should consult your doctor first. Examples include Ibuprofen, vitamin E, and fish oil. You will also be asked to stop drinking wine 24 hours before your pre-treatment session.

What Is Lip Rejuvenation Like?

A topical anesthetic will be applied to the lips before the procedure starts. We will use precise injections of Restylane, Juvederm, or Belotero to rejuvenate the lips. Typical results may last three to 12 months depending on the filler you choose.

What Is Aftercare Like?

You might experience some bruising and swelling, but this will subside after a few days. Refrain from eating or drinking until the anesthetic has worn off to avoid accidentally biting your lips and affecting the filler. Refrain from doing anything that will cause you to wipe your lips or face for at least 24 hours after the procedure.

Let the filler set by avoiding contracting or puckering your lips for 24 hours after getting the treatment. Avoid drinking alcohol within this period to avoid making your bruising worse.
