Complexion Skin Care
VISIA™ Computerized Complexion Analysis
VISIA™ is an exciting and effective visual communication system that allows us to evaluate and analyze the condition of your facial skin. A VISIA™ imaging session uses both regular and ultraviolet images to accurately capture, and objectively analyze, information in six key areas affecting the health and appearance of your skin.
This new technology measures skin pigmentation, UV spots (resulting from sun damage), pores, pigmentation, porphyrins (bacteria in pores) and wrinkles. Using the digital pictures that it creates, your skin is analyzed and scored based on your age, skin type and gender. This allows us to design a customized treatment program based on your unique skin condition, and to evaluate your progress after a series of treatments.
At the end of your VISIA™ session, you will receive a full-color report with photos detailing your results, along with the customized recommendations from Yolo’s staff. This analysis is safe and effective for patients of all ages, skin colors and ethnicities.

Latisse FAQ
-
What is a LATISSE®?
Latisse® solution, a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis, promotes the growth of eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.
-
How does LATISSE® work?
The active ingredient in LATISSE® is bimatoprost. Although the precise mechanism of action is not known, research suggests that the growth of eyelashes occurs by increasing the percent of hairs in, and the duration of, the anagen (or growth) phase. Lashes can grow longer, thicker and darker because bimatoprost can also prolong this growth phase.
-
What are the benefits of LATISSE®?
LATISSE® users can expect to experience longer, fuller and darker eyelashes.
-
How Many LATISSE® treatments will I need?
LATISSE® is a once-daily treatment
-
How soon will results appear?
LATISSE® users can expect to experience longer, fuller and darker eyelashes in as little as eight weeks, with full results in 16 weeks.
-
How long do the results last?
To maintain effect, continued treatment with LATISSE® is required. If use of LATISSE® is discontinued, eyelashes will gradually return to where they were prior to treatment over a period of weeks to months (average eyelash hair cycle).
-
Are there any possible side effects?
Throughout clinical trials, some users did experience itchy eyes and eye redness. However, some users found that these irritations went away once they became accustomed to the product or began applying it properly.
There’s a younger you inside and LATISSE® is just one of the ways Yolo Laser Center & Med Spa can help bring it out.

LATISSE® Important Safety Information
If you are using, or have used, prescription products for any eye pressure problems, only use LATISSE® under close doctor care. LATISSE® use may cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. Eyelid skin darkening may occur which may be reversible. Only apply at the base of the upper eyelashes. DO NOT APPLY to the lower eyelid. Hair growth may occur in other skin areas that LATISSE® solution frequently touches. If you develop or experience any eye problems or have eye surgery, consult your doctor immediately about continued use of LATISSE®. The most common side effects after using LATISSE® solution are itchy eyes and/or eye redness. If discontinued, lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance.

Pre and Post Care
Instructions
- Remove an applicator from its tray. Then, holding the sterile applicator horizontally, place one drop of LATISSE® solution on the area of the applicator closest to the tip but not on the tip.
- Then immediately draw the applicator carefully across the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes (where the eyelashes meet the skin) going from the inner part of your lash line to the outer part.
- Blotany excess solution beyond the eyelid margin.
- Dispose of the applicator after one use. Repeat for the opposite upper eyelid margin using a new sterile applicator. This helps minimize any potential for contamination from one eyelid to another.
Important: DO NOT APPLY in your eye or to the lower lid. Only use the sterile applicators that come with LATISSE.®
-
Should I remove my contact lenses first?
As a precaution, it’s recommended that you remove your contact lenses because they can absorb an ingredient in LATISSE® solution. You can put them back in 15 minutes after application.
-
What if I forget to apply LATISSE®?
If you miss a dose, don’t try to “catch up.” Just apply LATISSE® the next evening. Make LATISSE® solution part of your evening routine, like brushing your teeth or removing your makeup. IMPORTANT: Using LATISSE® more than once a day will not increase the growth of eyelashes more than daily use.
-
What should I do if LATISSE® gets in my eye?
It is not expected to cause harm. Don’t rinse your eye. Be careful to keep the tip of the bottle or applicator from touching your fingers, objects, or surfaces in order to avoid contamination.
-
What if I stop using LATISSE®?
Your lashes are expected to return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.
-
Can I continue to wear mascara while using LATISSE®?
Yes, you can use mascara in addition to LATISSE® solution.
LATISSE® is available by prescription only. Please contact us at Blue Medi Spa for a consultation

Patient Testimonial
I recently had sunspot treatment for a severe sunspot in the center of my forehead, which I affectionately referred to as my “cyclops”. After living with my “cyclops” for three years, I sought Yolo to have it removed. I shopped around at other dermatology clinics as well as cosmetic surgeon offices. The wait time to schedule an appointment at the other offices was months away, and the cost was nearly double Yolo’s price.
I scheduled a consultation, and was able to have the procedure within three weeks. I am thrilled with the results! Not only was my cyclops completely removed, other lighter sun-spots on my face were also removed. My face is now clear and soft.
The procedure was slightly uncomfortable, but the Yolo Staff preformed the procedure as quickly and efficiently as possible. Following the procedure, I experienced a stinging in my face for 2-hours, and then redness and brown spots for 3 days. One week following the procedure, my face was new and improved!
I highly recommend Yolo for treatments of Sunspots. As a Med-Spa Clinic, Yolo gets’ an A++++!
