The plans are set…Nikki got back to me with the details of what she has planned for my beauty boot camp. Based on the results of my facial assessment (see scary pictures of my skin!) she plans to start with a Botox treatment to address the wrinkles on my forehead. I must admit I was a bit skeptical about Botox (all the horror stories we hear/see), but Nikki assured me I won’t be one of them. She wants to smooth out the skin before the 2nd phase of the program and Botox is a great ‘wrinkle relaxer’. It takes 10-15 days for it to take full effect and the treatment lasts 3-6 months. (I need to find out what I do after it wears off.) My appointment is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15th. I’ll share more about the actual experience then.

Phase 2 of the program is the Mixto Fractionated CO2 laser (http://www.yolomedspa.com/mixto.cfm). This treatment will address the dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles! Sure sounds promising. Non surgical in nature, I was told to allow 6 days of ‘social’ downtime. Apparently your skin will look like you have a REALLY bad sunburn. Full results in 6 months, great timing for the wedding. This treatment is planned for the Tuesday after Memorial day.

The final phase includes a dermal filler to plump up the lines around my mouth. Nikki is recommending Juvederm (http://www.yolomedspa.com/juvederm.cfm). Juvederm is a gel that’s injected to treat deep folds, enhance lips, facial lines, shape facial contours, and correcting thin lines around the eyes. mouth and forehead.

I’m hoping to also take advantage of their Lipo-Plex program; a combination of B-12 and lipotropic nutrients that help burn fat while providing an energy boost. I have some questions for Nikki and her staff before i move forward…I’ll keep you posted.

Til the next time….
