Project Reunion Entry 1
I’ve finally given into the lure of seeing how my classmates from high school turned out. I’ve missed every single reunion since graduating in—dare I admit it—1987. Holy sh#!, that’s 24 years ago! This is mostly because I attended high school at the American School in Paris. So, most of my classmates are scattered around the world. But, thanks to Facebook, we all recently reconnected. One former classmate has been brave enough to plan a reunion in NYC. So, on August 19, I’ll be meeting my old high school friends for drinks.

Now, I’m not sure how all of your former female classmates look on Facebook, but all of mine look superb. They look fit and they look YOUNG. Maybe they just pick stellar photos to post, but I’ve decided that I can’t take any chances. I cannot be the heaviest, oldest-looking woman attending! So I kick-started “Project Reunion,” my project to get fitter and more youthful looking.

I looked in the mirror and noticed spots, old acne scars, large pores, and sort of a splotchy “pregnancy mask,” though I haven’t been pregnant for five years, and never will be again. So, I stopped by to visit Nikki at Yolo Laser Center & Med Spa, which, by the way, looks even more fabulous after its reconstruction. She checked me out and decided that first we needed to get rid of my dark spots with a laser treatment.

I just got zapped yesterday for about ten minutes (discomfort level is about a two out of ten). Nikki tells me that the spots will get MUCH darker and then fall of within the next few days. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Bisous,
Cathy
